Gut Böckel 2019
After last year’s successful participation, Jetstone presented itself again during the Küchenmeile this year at the beautiful estate of Gut Böckel. For its presentation this year, Jetstone was inspired by the book ‘Form Follows Food’ by trend forecaster and researcher Lidewij Edelkoort. The book, an initiative of quartz manufacturer Caesarstone, shows how colours and structures from nutrition and nature recur in the current trends for kitchen worktops.
In collaboration with architect Perry Hanssen (Hanssen ID), we translated elements from that book into a presentation with the title ‘Hexagon: Inspired by Nature’. The choice for the hexagon (also called a honeycomb pattern) as a recurring shape was based on the fact that the honey bee is indirectly responsible for 30% of our food.
The colours Jet Grey, Primordia, Noir Desir, Bromo and Kreta played a prominent role in the presentation. Additionally, we also showed several materials that will feature in our collection in the beginning of 2020 as a preview, such as the beautiful new Caesarstone colours Black Tempal, Calacatta Nuvo and Empira White.
The presentation was very well received by the visitors, who particularly appreciated the spacious design and creative interpretation of the term ‘worktops’.
